Accusolve is a UK accountancy practice with an AAT Licensed Accountant. Our London bookkeeping service supports businesses that need regular help with their records, from consultants with one bank account to ecommerce sellers with several payment platforms.
We agree the accounts, transaction sources and review frequency at the start. Monthly bookkeeping suits businesses that need regular visibility; a different cadence may be appropriate for a smaller workload. Deadlines depend on the work agreed and when complete records are available.
We support Xero accounting workflows and QuickBooks bookkeeping. Bank feeds and receipt tools can help collect data, but entries still need supporting records and review. We agree any software setup or migration separately, including access and opening balances.
VAT-ready records provide the transaction evidence needed to prepare a return; they do not mean every transaction's VAT treatment has already been resolved. Where you need VAT return preparation and submission, we agree that work and any VAT questions separately. You review and approve the return before submission.
Bookkeeping maintains day-to-day records. Year-end accounting uses those records to prepare statutory accounts and tax calculations. Annual accounts preparation and filing is a separate service unless included in your agreed scope.
Payroll, management reporting and management accounts are also agreed separately. For online sellers, ecommerce accounting support can address marketplace settlements, platform fees and multiple sales channels. None of these services is automatically included in routine bookkeeping.
The work required depends on how your business records income, spending and payments. These examples illustrate common bookkeeping needs; your agreed service scope will be confirmed before work starts.
All work is subject to the terms of your contract. Routine VAT bookkeeping is included only where agreed in that scope. VAT and cross-border advice are provided under a separately agreed scope.
| Business records | What you provide | Work to agree |
|---|---|---|
| Simple service business | Bank statements, sales invoices, receipts and explanations of business or personal transactions. | Recording and categorising sales and purchases, reconciling the agreed bank accounts and identifying missing information. |
| Multiple accounts or payment providers | Statements for each bank, card and payment account, supporting invoices and details of transfers. | Reconciling the agreed accounts, matching transfers, investigating differences and identifying unresolved balances. |
| Ecommerce | Sales and refund reports, platform fees, settlement statements and bank receipts. | Matching sales, deductions and settlements; identifying transactions needing a separate VAT or cross-border review. |
Agree which balances have been reconciled, which documents remain missing and what needs your decision before records are used for accounts or a return. An initial backlog is assessed separately from ongoing bookkeeping; completing one month does not by itself resolve earlier periods.
If records are behind, tell us which periods are incomplete and what documents you have. We review the backlog, identify gaps and agree a catch-up project before setting up ongoing work. Missing statements, unreconciled opening balances or earlier errors may need additional investigation; we cannot confirm a completion date until we understand the records and deadlines.
Have bank and card statements, sales and purchase invoices, receipts, platform reports and prior bookkeeping balances available. The quote depends on transaction volume, number of accounts, currencies, software, reporting frequency and the condition of existing records. You remain responsible for complete business records and approving any separately agreed filings.
Tell us your software, monthly transaction volume, bank and payment-platform accounts, currencies, required frequency and any unfinished periods. We review the records and deadline before agreeing the work.
Your quote should identify the services and period covered, reporting frequency where relevant, the fee and VAT treatment, and any exclusions or third-party charges. Bookkeeping catch-up, earlier-period corrections and additional advice are agreed separately unless included. Confirm the scope and your responsibilities before instructing us.
